I received a link to a YouTube video which used Pie Jesu from Andrew Lloyd Weber's Requiem as accompaniment.  This recording was by Sarah Brightman and a boy soprano, and it was just exquisite!

Bearing in mind that I'm not any sort of Culture Vulture, do any of you folks who dig this kind of music have any suggestions as to CDs by Sarah Brightman that might appeal to me?

Pie Jesu was the very first time I ever heard Sarah Brightman.  This was from a vinyl copy of ALW's Requiem back when it first came out (had to have been around '85).

That track was the highlight of the album.

I have not followed Sarah's career that closely, however I recall her doing some Broadway musical numbers in addition to her "classical" work. I use Amazon to look up what's available form any given artist.  There usually are ratings and comments posted on most of the listings.  That's where I'd start looking.

The boy soprano was Paul Miles-Kingston. Sarah Brightman has made some other wonderful duet tracks. I would strongly recommend 'Time To Say Goodbye' with Andrea Bocelli and 'Just Show Me How To Love You' with Jose Cura. Both can be found on the 1997 album 'Time To Say Goodbye' which would probably be a good place to start. The compilation album 'The Andrew Lloyd-Webber Collection' provides a range of works composed by her ex-husband and is also well worth a listen.

With the holidays coming up, you may like her Winter Symphony album.  I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day sounds as if it was produced by Phil Spector.

I really enjoyed Sarah's performance of "You and Me" with Liu Huan at the Beijing 2008 Olympics.  Here is a collection of footage from the Beijing 2008 Olympics with some footage of Sarah Brightman and Liu Huan performing the song.  I tried to find a high quality video with just their performance but this will have to do for now.

Just wanted to say "thanks" to all who responded to this post.  I'll be checking these references out with an eye towards some purchases, and will have a look at the YouTube video referenced by Chris.
