Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get the label pictures or scans for any old 45rpms? I used to use eBay but they will not allow you to reprint or copy a display photo anymore.I hate the idea of pulling all of my old 45s out to scan one at a time. I'm pretty sure I'd die of old age before I finish.

Anything to try to thwart those evil kopying kharacter types...

What?  can't you save about ANY picture off EBAY?  (Or one of the associated pictures sharing places)?  Or, just fish the .jpg file or what-have-you out of your browser's "temp" folder(s)...?

Amazon now has some sort of FLASH thing for their "album covers" (TNs, really).

See it in "action," here (If your browser can handle it..):

There are quite a lot of "labels" resources out there.  Depends on what type of labels are needed.  High res. - as in good enough quality to make CD labels maybe?

Actually, what I had planned on was adding the label artwork to the mp3 file.

Not sure what the problem is. I choose the enlarged view (tends to be higher resolution), right click the picture, select Save Picture As and direct it to the folder of my choice. Worked perfectly two minutes ago.

Same here - a very simple task.  It's quite easy also to clone out the ebay logo with any photo editing program.

There's also this site which I posted about only recently at BSN for pics of record labels and sleeves-

Funny, I recently tried to download a pic from ebay and got the same result as you. On a Mac you can do a screen grab with wonderful results if you just want a jpeg. I'm sure a PC has some similar feature.

You can do exactly the same on a PC with 'Print Screen'.  The problem with capturing an image that way is the results are less satisfactory and the image quality suffers compared to a straight 'right click' and 'save as'.   However, as a last resort, sometimes that's the only way to grab certain pics if they've got copy protection.

If you have access to the Usenet groups, there are many label scans in the Whitburn groups (alt.binaries.sounds.whitburn.pop and alt.binaries.sounds.whitburn.lossless).

HI Guys!
I've found the solution.I have to use IE as my browser when visiting eBay.I use Firefox 98% of the time but for some reason, it will not allow me to download pictures. I have contacted them and they are working on a fix. Thanks again for all of the insightful suggestions.

I'm one of the folks who has posted many label scans to Usenet..

As for downloading label scans from Ebay, why not just right click the mouse ,select "Save as" to save the picture to where you want.
